I agree with the other reviewer. I have never seen a Dr with such a horrible attitude toward his patients. I started suffering from really bad headaches and saw Dr. Schlachter 4 times over two months. The headaches kept getting worse but he acted like I was making it all up. During the last visit he even told me he thought I was overreacting and asked me if I was just depressed. The next day I passed out at work and was taken to castle medical center where they found a benign brain tumor the size of an egg. After having the tumor removed and spending three weeks in the hospital I went to follow up with him in his office. After about 5 minutes I asked him why he didn't feel the need to have ordered any tests. Instead of giving me an answer he stood up, walked out and said he didn't need to be questioned by a patient and that he was no longer going to treat me. No apology. No asking how I was. Nothing. Dr. Schlachter is THE WORST doctor I've ever seen.
Front desk, staff, and nurses are top of the line. However- when visiting a doctor worried about your health, the last thing you want is your health professional rolling their eyes when describing long term symptoms. I understand if they did not know what was causing my symptoms- but a word of advice- do not belittle your patients and make them feel stupid. Ultimately a patient knows their body better than anyone else- compassion is part of your job and sometimes just as important as diagnosing medical issues.
What HORRIFYING experiences--especially the man with the brain tumor. That one is potentially a malpractice law suit. The fact that Schlachter is supposed to be a shining example of a caring physician representing the LDS church makes it even more disgusting, although not surprising. Some christian he is ....... NOT! The 5 star review is from another LDS church member. Patient and Public beware-the LDS'ers will cover for each other under any circumstance even to the point of breaking the law.
