Easy to walk to from malaekahana state recreation area. Nice protected bay.
Great adventure to walk across at low tide, but do not go bare foot on the reef. Use reef walkers or sneakers. Current can be a little tricky as the reef is never totally exposed - usually at least a couple feet of water.
You can swim or walk out during low tide. Nice place to grab some small sea shells.
I have been to Goat Island several times. There is a great beach. If you are lucky you will see some birds. It is a bird sanctuary, so don't disturb them. One of my favorite places on the North Shore.
